The center focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as other types of therapy. We provide individual and group treatment as well as consultations with psychiatrists for medications.
Maple Health Home is a setting where a team of health professionals work together to provide behavioral health care treatment and medical treatment for persons with mental health concerns all in one place. These may be depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. The goal is to help patients manage their chronic mental and physical health conditions well enough that they do not affect how the patients want to lead their lives. The team works to coordinate all of the treatment services that the individual receives within the community.
The team may include: a psychiatrist, a physician, a nurse, a therapist, a case manager, a peer support specialist, and a medical assistant. Family and other health care workers can also be part of the team.
Eligibility: Any person who is 18 years or older and has a desire to work with mental health professionals to improve their quality of life is eligible for services. If you have questions or would like to work with the Maple Health Home Team, please call 616.965.8253

Therapists can help with stress, life changes, sadness, worry, grief, trauma, relationship problems, communication problems, low self-esteem, and health coaching, to name a few.
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for individuals with a substance use disorder who require more than weekly counseling. The program provides monitoring several times a week in a supportive group setting. The group meets three times a week for three hours, for an average of 5 weeks.
This level of care is appropriate for those who are experiencing high stress life circumstances that make it more difficult to cope with urges and cravings to use substances, and those who have not been able to stabilize their substance use in a traditional outpatient setting.
IOP is for individuals who are able and willing to commit to a structured program requiring regular attendance and active participation. We understand each person in this program comes with very diverse issues and problems, and we are sensitive to everyone’s needs, personality, communication style, readiness to change and personal preferences. We will work with you to develop a treatment plan that takes into consideration these preferences within the structure and guidelines of the outpatient addiction program.
This outpatient treatment group provides a safe and supportive learning environment for persons recovering from substance use disorders. This service is ideal for those who have already completed other treatment programs such as IOP, and need continuing care or for those who have had some recovery success but struggle with relapse.
Cherry Health offers multiple substance use disorder services from intensive outpatient to traditional outpatient services. Outpatient substance use treatment is provided by experienced credentialed therapists and is generally facilitated through the use of individual one-to-one sessions lasting 45 to 60 minutes. All therapists are capable of treating persons with both mental health and substance use disorders. Therapists are trained to help patients reduce risky behaviors related to using substances such as tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, and other addictive substances.
