Healthy Michigan Medicaid Work Requirements Are Coming in January 2020
Starting January 1, 2020, Michigan law will require some people in the Healthy Michigan Plan (HMP) to tell MDHHS each month about 80 hours of work or activities like a job search.
If you don’t do this, you could lose your insurance unless you are exempt (excused from the requirement). If you believe you are exempt, you must fill out the state Exemption Form by January 31, 2020. More information is available on Healthy Michigan Plan’s website here.
