About the Foundation
Cherry Health Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Cherry Health and its mission is to cultivate community awareness, trust and financial investment to ensure comprehensive, primary and behavioral health care is accessible for all, no matter income or insurance status.

Whether it is treatment for diabetes, dental care, vision, mental health counseling or community reentry services, Cherry Health is the difference between sickness and health; despair and hope; barriers and opportunities. Cherry Health is committed to quantifiably assessing the impact of its services to continually improve health outcomes.

We need you to sustain this mission. Please make a donation and directly impact the lives of our 76,000 patients. 96% of our health center patients, for whom income data was obtained, are impoverished or below minimum wage.

Cherry Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization, as determined by Section 501(c) (3) in the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, gifts are deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

2019 Cherry Health Celebration

On Thursday, November 7, 2019 over 400 friends of Cherry Health Foundation gathered at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park to celebrate what is going right in healthcare. This annual immersive fundraising event, Cherry Health Celebration, proved an exciting evening of storytelling, as guests engaged the organization’s message of “hope beyond the headlines.” Proceeds from this annual fundraising event serve the 76,000 patients of Cherry Health through ensuring and expanding access to comprehensive, quality health care for populations in need, and creating innovative programs that increase health outcomes.

Through sponsors, individual donors and pledges made at Cherry Health Celebration, over $143,000 was donated in support of Cherry Health’s mission to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve, regardless of income or insurance. For more information and for sponsorship opportunities for future events, please contact Kate Klemp, Annual Giving & Donor Relations Manager, at 616.965.8267 or
