Health Talk Tackles Childhood Asthma and Spring Triggers

GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Asthma is one of the most common chronic disorders in childhood. A pharmacist, asthma educator, and members of the Michigan Primary Care Transformation Project (MiPCT) care team will all be available to answer your questions and provide you with more resources on asthma.

Cherry Health Presents “Childhood Asthma: Prepare for Spring”  hosted by several childhood asthma experts.  Join us Thursday, April 16 from 6 to 7 p.m. to find out how to manage your child’s asthma during a FREE presentation at Heart of the City Health Center’s Grand River Room, 100 Cherry Street SE, Grand Rapids.

Lisa Bade, PharmD received her doctorate of pharmacy degree from Ferris State University and completed a residency at Spectrum Health. While working closely with the health care team at Cherry Health and the MiPCT care team, Lisa is seeking to demonstrate the importance of a pharmacist within a Patient Centered Medical Home.

Jennifer Sanchez, RN received her bachelors of nursing from Grand Valley State University.  Jennifer is currently the pediatric asthma educator at Westside and serves as a liaison between Kent County Health Department and Westside Health Center in vaccine management.

Alexandria Bryce, RN, BSN, CCP received her bachelors of nursing from Cedarville University in 2012, with minors in Spanish for professionals and cross cultural nursing. Lexie is working as a care manager at Cherry Health and is also a certified chronic care professional.
