March 12, 5 – 8 p.m., Rockwell Republic
The Social Charity Club of Grand Rapids will be supporting the Reach Out and Read program at Cherry Health by acting as a liaison between Cherry Health and a local venue to put on a “happy hour” event in which 100% of the proceeds will go toward Cherry Health’s Reach Out and Read Program. This will include a drink, appetizers, and a fun time!
The research-proven Reach Out and Read program supports early childhood literacy and school readiness by providing books to children ages 0-5 at their well child check-ups. The child gets to take the book home with them to continue learning. Additionally, pediatric waiting rooms at Heart of the City Health Center Pediatrics and Westside Health Center Pediatrics have been transformed into literacy-rich areas with children’s books.
Please join us and help our patients to continue the enjoyment of Reach Out and Read.
